Benjamina Bernadina van Gelderen (Benja Maton) is a Dutch visual artist born in 1926 in Rotterdam.
She studied at the art academi “Academie voor Beeldende Kunst” in Rotterdam (1948). After her marriage with Guy Maton she travelled to Africa to live there from 1954 until 1965. During her time there she painted the majority of her works. Furtermore, she painted the portraits of friends and family.
She now lives in Rotterdam.
